TAX AUDIT FOR FOREIGN REPRESENTATIVE OFFICES IN VIETNAM

For a representative office (RO), the tax audit is focused on the personal income tax of foreign and Vietnamese employees working for the RO as the RO is not a revenue generating enterprise.

To effectively coordinate with tax authorities during the audit process, the RO needs to have extensive knowledge of tax law as well as practical experience, especially as tax regulations and practice can change significantly for the period over which the RO is audited.
