About CanCham

  • Are you a governmental organization?

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham) Vietnam is a non-government, non-profit business association that often works closely with government organizations like the Canadian Trade Commission Service, but has no direct links with the government.

​

  • Who runs CanCham?

Day-to-day operations at the CanCham are managed by the Executive Director and the office team. The team is supported by 9 volunteer Board Members who help shape Chamber strategy and outlook. An Executive Board composed of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected from within the Board to more directly oversee Chamber operations.

  • How can CanCham help my business?

There are many ways that CanCham regularly helps our members. How we support really depends on a company's objectives, which is why we work directly with our members to tailor our support to their needs. Some of our most commonly used supports are: introductions, referrals, consultations, networking opportunities, and marketing.

Membership with CanCham is what you make of it. Every member is different and has different needs so the more engaged you are with the Chamber, the more we can do to help.   • I want to take my business international, can CanCham help?

Yes. CanCham offers a variety of business services developed to help companies expand their business bilaterally and start strong when they arrive. Our services are extensive, but if there is something we can't do, we will refer you to someone who can. Contact us to have an introductory consultation.

  • Does CanCham offer funding for startups and entrepreneurs?

No, but we do work with many startups and entrepreneurs to help them achieve the stability and growth needed to gain funding.​

  • Why should I advertise with CanCham?

Our network represents a wide range of industries and demographics, making it easy to target specific segments effectively at prestigious business events and through our various channels.​

  • What are CanCham's advertising metrics?

We offer extensive advertising opportunities at our online and offline events, on our website, and in our newsletter. Let us know what kind of exposure you need and who your campaign is targeting, and we can put together a tailor package for you.

Events

  • What kind of events does CanCham host?

CanCham hosts business events, seminars, webinars, roundtables, networking, Canadian cultural celebrations, professional development, CSR activities, and more.

  • Do I have to pay to go to events if I am a member?

Members receive discounted rates at all CanCham events. The Chamber also holds several free members-only events each year.

  • What industry specific events does CanCham organise?

Every January, CanCham hosts our Crystal Ball Business Luncheon - The Year Ahead which offers insights into thriving sectors in Vietnam in order to predict the opportunities and challenges of the coming year. For the rest of the year, we host timely and topical industry events that reflect changes in the market and member needs.

  • Can my business request / participate in events relating to our industry?

Yes. In fact we encourage members to both request the event topics important to them and to share their expertise at related events. Contact us with your ideas!​
