As a conscientious business organization, CanCham is dedicated to contributing to and improving society in Vietnam, and we are proud to maintain a strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and charity mandate. WHAT WE DO
The Rice for Life Program is an impactful CanCham CSR initiative conceived during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic which identifies communities of lower means whose lives have been disrupted by circumstances out of their control in order to provide free rice during times of need.
In its first year, the Rice for Life program donated 39.5 tonnes of rice and supported 7,151 families in need.
Terry Fox Run Vietnam, organized by CanCham, is the largest by-participation CSR event in Vietnam and has been the largest single international Terry Fox Run in the world for several years with more than 20,000 participants attending annually. Funds raised stay in Vietnam to support cancer research initiatives, including a newly launched research fellowship programme in collaboration with the University of British Columbia (Canada) which will enable the University Medical Hospital to establish the first pediatric oncology department in Vietnam.
