CanCham's Annual General Meeting 2024

Dear Valued Members,

It is our pleasure to announce that the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam will be held on Thursday, April 4th, at 6:00 PM at Park Hyatt Saigon.

Registration will begin at 5:30 PM.

Please ensure your 2024 Membership is active or has been renewed in advance of the AGM, or contact the CanCham Office to inquire about your membership status.

Agenda

For members who are not familiar with the Annual General Meeting, every year we convene our membership to review & assess the previous year, outline plans for the year ahead, and receive comments and feedback from our members.

*During our AGM 2023, members voted to adopt an amendment to the constitution to change the board term to 2 years instead of 1 year, hence, the next general Executive Board elections will occur at AGM 2025.

Our Executive Committee & Executive Director will present our financial and annual reports for 2023, and the membership will consider any proposed constitutional amendments or extraordinary measures submitted to the Board within 14 days of the AGM.

Members are invited to stay following the AGM proceedings for a complimentary members’ reception.

Run for the Board of Directors

*In 2024, there will be a special election for one executive board seat due to vacancy.

A Nomination Form is included where you can nominate a candidate of your choice within the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Ordinary Membership to seek election to the Executive Board.

The nominated candidate who receive the most votes from the Ordinary Membership at the AGM will be elected to the 2024 Board of Directors.

Completed nomination forms must be returned to CanCham Office by no later than 12.00 PM, March 21st.

Following the closure of nominations, all candidates will receive the 2024 membership list, and will have an opportunity to make a two-minute speech at the AGM prior to voting.

Proxy Voting

For ordinary members who will not be able to attend and wish to delegate their voting rights to another member, a Proxy Voting Form is also included here. Completed proxy voting forms must be returned to the CanCham Office by no later than noon on Friday, March 21st.
