We are excited to share that Mara Hurst, Executive Director of CanCham Vietnam, had the honor of attending the Conference on the Implementation of the National Assembly’s Resolution on the International Financial Center in Vietnam, chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. The event convened senior leaders from the Vietnamese government, relevant ministries, and the leadership of Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang City. CanCham’s participation reflects our ongoing commitment to engaging in Vietnam’s long-term economic strategies and strengthening public-private sector cooperation.
The development of International Financial Centers (IFCs) in HCMC and Da Nang marks a forward-thinking move to position Vietnam as a regional hub for global finance. These centers aim to attract international investment, top-tier talent, and advanced financial services, underpinned by robust policy frameworks and international promotion efforts. For Canadian companies, this presents new avenues in finance, fintech, consulting, education, and infrastructure. CanCham remains committed to fostering Canada–Vietnam economic ties and contributing to the success of transformative national initiatives.
